The Pentateuch (the first five books of the Old Testament, also known as the Books of the Law) occupies the lover most petal.
Note: The Rose Windows, located on either side of the Sanctuary, were the gift of Alvan T. Fuller, former Governor of Massachusetts, and his sister, Martha Fuller Halsey, in memory of their parents. These windows were installed in 1940. On the Main Street side of the Sanctuary, the Window of Fulfillment depicts the saints of the New Testament: Peter, Paul, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. Here the Rose Panel is centered by the symbol of Love, surrounded by the fruits of the Spirit, which are goodness, peace, meekness, temperance, faith, long suffering, gentleness, and joy.
The colors used are the blues and violets of wisdom, knowledge and understanding; the greens of hope; and the whites of peace and serenity. Always present is red for the blood of Christ.
