Dear Friends, In spite of its affluence and influence on the world-wide scene, the United States still remains as challenging a mission field as any other around the globe.  In our towns, our cities, and our neighborhoods dwell the same sort of needy folks as Christ associated with and ministered to.  Can we do any less as ambassadors of Christ?

National Ministries of the American Baptist Churches U.S.A. with which we are affiliated continues a widespread outreach across the U.S. and Puerto Rico to identify and confront the impediments to the spiritual and physical well-being of millions of men, women, and children. more>>

A Churchgoer wrote a letter to the editor of a newspaper and complained that it made no sense to go to church every Sunday.
"I've gone for 30 years now," he wrote, "and in that time I have heard something like 3,000 sermons. But for the life of me, I can't remember a single one of them..
So, I think I'm wasting my time and the pastors are wasting theirs by giving sermons at all."
