• Next Sunday, December 24, is Christmas Sunday Worship at 11:00 a.m. and Christmas Eve Worship at 7:00 p.m. Hope you will find time to join us in this special worship and fellowship of our church.

• As was discussed at Bible study, we will provide a program of Christmas carols and a brief meditation at Oosterman’s Rest Home in Melrose (93 Laurel St) on Wednesday, December 13 at 2 pm. If anyone needs a ride, please let me know. (This is in addition to the Sanctuary Choir caroling there on Monday evening, December 18, before their Christmas party.)

• Christmas Poinsettias (Red) to be given in memory or in honor of your loved ones are now ready for order ($6.00 each pot). Orders must include the names of recipients and the giver. Checks must be payable to First Baptist Church of Malden, MA. All orders must be received by December 13th.

•  Church Decorating on Sunday, November 26 at 12:15 p.m. after Worship Service. Everyone is invited to help in setting up Christmas trees and hanging of the greens.


Church Family Members:
 
This coming Sunday, November 19, is Thanksgiving Sunday.  During the worship service we will dedicate our Thanksgiving Offering, 2018 Financial Pledges and Ingathering Donations.  For the Ingathering, everyone is invited to bring food items for a typical Thanksgiving dinner.  These will be used by Housing Families Inc to provide dinner supplies for their clients.  I look forward to seeing many of you on Sunday.

• Refugee Immigration Ministry (RIM) will hold the Annual International Dinner on November 19, 2017 in Armenian Cultural and Educational Center, 47 Nichols Avenue, Watertown, MA. at 5:30 p.m.(Hors d’oeuvres), 6:30 p.m. Dinner (An International Buffet).  Tickets: $40 ($35 if you buy before November 15). • Thanksgiving Ingathering on Sunday, November 19 will receive donations of food for thanksgiving dinners during the worship service. Food donations will be given to Housing Families.

• Worship venue is in the Sanctuary @11:00 am. Nursery care will be provided for infants and toddlers. Sunday school class will be provided for children in Kindergarten through grade 2


• Support relief efforts for those affected by Hurricane Harvey.  Here is a link with more information about what American Baptists are doing: http://www.abc-usa.org/2017/08/28/american-baptists-urged-to-lift-up-those-affected-by-hurricane-harvey. If you would like to support our denomination’s work in this area through a special gift to the One Great Hour of Sharing Offering, checks may be made payable to our church, with a note in the memo line: “Hurricane Harvey.” One hundred percent of all donations will be used for relief efforts.


• Join us in Worship every Sunday at 11:00 a.m.in the church Parlor. Light refreshment and fellowship follows in the church kitchen. Nursery care is provided for infants and toddlers during the worship service. Church building is handicap accessible.

• Tuesday Bible Study continues at 11:30 a.m. in the Church Kitchen.
