Remember Kathy Charland? She is one of the International Ministries missionaries our church has been supporting in prayer and financial giving.  Now,  she is in Zambia. Below is her report from an email courtesy of Irene Hofmann:

Hello from Zambia!

Kathy Charland in ZambiaToday marks the beginning of my third week here in Zambia. The experience has been good. I have seen and done things I hadn’t before and I have had the opportunity to talk with many people and learn more about life and ministry here. I am thankful that I have stayed healthy and safe throughout much travel and less than ideal conditions – thank you for your prayers!   I have had limited access to internet and am looking forward to sharing more information when I return to the US. In the meantime, members of my Mission Partnership Team have prepared specific prayer requests for you to consider. Two of them appear below.

Hi, my name is Paul Sorrentino. I am privileged to be the pastoral care member of Kathy’s team. In that role I meet with Kathy to discuss theological and practical ministry issues, personal concerns and pray for and with her. I am thankful that the Lord has provided this opportunity for Kathy to make this trip to Zambia. I would ask for prayer for her to begin to build lasting relationships and for God to give her a vision of how the Lord may want to use her in Zambia.

Thank you for your partnership with Kathy.

My name is Betty. I am Kathy’s mom and a member of her MPT. While Kathy is in Zambia, please pray with me that God will keep her safe, that He will open her eyes to what He wants her to see, that He will open her ears to what He wants her to hear and that He will open her heart to what He wants her to feel.
God bless each of you, Betty

Please continue to pray for her safety and support her material needs. Go to International Ministries to learn more.
