Robert “Bob” Love was our church Music Director and Organist for 45 years. From the time he was 12 years old until his death on September 21, 2002, Bob could not walk past a church organ without a burning desire to play it. The Skinner Organ, built in 1916, was his constant companion to spread wholesome music to members and friends of First Baptist Church of Malden. One rendition is a patriotic medley performed on April 25, 1999, “America The Beautiful and God of Our Fathers:
 

 
Special Note: The Skinner Organ is one of the finest instruments of its kind in the U.S. Northeast. It was a gift by Mr. and Mrs. Costello Converse. Editing the music is tricky as Bob uses most of the six separate organs, a total of 3,000 pipes, some of which are located at the back of the Sanctuary.
