Rev. Martha Dominy does not recommend who to vote for this coming election but gives important thoughts to remember as described in Psalm 146. The message is clear that while we pray and work with our leaders to advance the cause of our country, God deserves our praise. For He alone is worthy of our praise. God is in control of our lives and everything that happens in this world so put your trust in God alone and not on human skills. Vote for the candidate with plans aligned to the values of God. Do not expect your candidate to make you happy for joy only comes from the Lord. The final thought that Pastor Martha shares is to take the long view. If your candidate wins, don’t be too elated. If your candidate losses, don’t be so depressed. Always remember, as Christians, our true leader is God almighty who reigns forever. Now it’s time to listen to the sermon.
