Layperson of the Year 2015
Roslyn Nowak is voted Layperson of the Year 2015 by the congregation and the church council in recognition for her faithful and dedicated service to the Lord through First Baptist Church of Malden. Working behind the scene, she teaches Sunday School and cleans the rooms whenever she can, served in the Board of Christian Education, and act as nursery attendant when needed. She becomes visible when volunteering as greeter and coffee hour host. Most of those who voted for her speak about her willingness to help cheerfully, just being friendly, doesn’t say no to any work at hand, always saying “Yes” when it is easy to say “No, thank you”. Generally, her faithful and dedicated service with a “smile” won the day.
