Caroline H. (Arnold) Landers, age 82, passed away on Wednesday Feb. 22, 2017 at the Winchester Hospital. She was the daughter of Frederick Arnold and Helena (Fischer) Arnold. She was born in Medford and grew up and lived in Malden until she moved to Stoneham in 1973. She graduated from Malden High School in 1952 and earned a BS in Nursing from Boston University in 1956. She was an instructor at the Melrose Hospital School of Nursing before leaving to have a family in 1965.

Caroline was a dedicated wife and mother, swimmer and member of the YMCA, biker, avid gardener and lover of outdoor activities. She was the beloved wife of Rodger E. Landers, and devoted mother of Suzanne Landers, and Rodger S. Landers. She is survived by her sister Clara Sparks, 2 nieces, a nephew and many grandnieces and grandnephews. She is predeceased by her brother Frederick Arnold and a niece.

Caroline was a faithful and dedicated member of First Baptist Church of Malden, MA. holding various positions in the church’s leadership. She was a tower bell ringer of the church for many years, a role she enjoyed to do every Sunday before Worship Service begins.

A memorial service was held Sunday March 5, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Malden with family and friends in attendance.
